Charles Martin

Before joining the venture team at Kinnevik in 2022, Charles founded several businesses while at university, including a venture backed B2B software business where he ran product. Following this, he worked in investment banking, advising software companies on M&A and growth capital raises. 

At university, Charles studied and worked in public policy and has always believed technology is the most effective vehicle to drive efficiency and solve large scale problems. Given this and his experience in software, he is attracted to software businesses that have potential to be disruptive or impactful. In particular, he is drawn to R&D led software companies, B2B software, deep tech, and founders working on problems in critical infrastructure.

Charles is looking for the most ambitious founders across Northern Europe, investing at Series A, B, and beyond. He has been involved in investments in companies including Pleo, Aira, Superb, Instabee and Recursion.
